June 18th, 2022
Hosted by Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (APILO) and Chinatown Media & Arts Collaborative (CMAC)
On this 40th anniversary of Vincent Chin's unjust slaying, we find it evident that it is more important than ever to meaningfully engage our communities. In partnership with various API community groups across the Bay Area, we wish to invite you to a youth-centered “conversation” workshop and discussion space about our shared history, our common struggle, and our futures.
In partnership with various API community groups across the Bay Area, we invite you to a youth-centered workshop and discussion space about our shared history, our common struggle, and our futures. Here, we will examine US immigration policy along with our own personal immigration histories. Youth interns from APILO YAC will facilitate discussions on racial justice, immigration, and solidarity building, as well as cultural activities, performances, and refreshments! See this as an amazing opportunity for youth to connect with other brilliant peers in a protected setting.
Our workshop will be from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 18th at 41 Ross Alley in SF Chinatown.
